Job Description - Grounds Clean-Up Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title:                         Grounds Clean-Up Specialist

Department:                           Adult Day and Employment Services

Reporting Function:              Program Manager of Adult Services

Supervisory Functions: None

Job Summary:                      Help maintain a clean and safe environment by regularly removing dog waste from designated areas on our campus. This role supports our commitment to providing a respectful and sanitary space for the people we serve, and our staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Routinely inspect and clean outdoor areas for dog waste, including walkways, common areas, or any shared outdoor spaces.
Safely and hygienically collect and dispose of pet waste in accordance with Laradon’s sanitation protocols.
Refill waste bag dispensers and notify appropriate staff if supplies are low.
Report any unusual findings, such as signs of illness in animals or damaged equipment, to supervisors.
Maintain and clean waste collection tools and equipment.
Communicate courteously with staff and individuals served while on duty.
Support Laradon’s mission by promoting cleanliness and respect for shared spaces.

Minimum Position Requirements:

Reliable with strong time management and self-direction skills.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to bend, lift, walk for extended periods, and handle tools safely.
