WinnCompanies is seeking to hire an experienced Groundskeeper to join our team at Castle Square, a residential and commercial property located in Boston, MA. In this role, the ideal candidate will perform landscaping functions to ensure the appearance and physical condition of the property is maintained to ownership and management expectations.
The selected candidate will adhere to the following work schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 2:00PM - please note that this a seasonal position.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep on property’s interior and exterior planters, garden furniture, landscape tools, watering cart and other items as needed.
- Care for established and new lawns, including watering flowers, weeding, planting, removing, pruning, and edging around flower beds, walks, interior and exterior building lobbies.
- Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, and shrubs applying mulch for protection using garden tools.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all planting tools, trimmers, and edging.
- Perform assigned indoor work during inclement weather.
- Represent the property in a professional manner with residents, visitors, and other employees.
- Actively participate in company required trainings.
- Perform special assignments as requested by the Superintendent or Property Manager.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of work experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to speak and understand basic English.
- Ability to perform all physical functions of the role.
- Ability to adapt successfully to changing situations and environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
