Home of the “6 Week Weight Loss Challenge,” The Camp's program consists of group training with dynamic interval workouts, nutrition and supplement plans, highly qualified trainers, and a ton of positive emotional support. The Camp is looking for a Group Fitness Trainer that can inspire, motivate, and energize clients. The ideal candidate possesses a positive energy and optimistic attitude. In this role, you will be given the autonomy to create a memorable experience through workout design, choice of music, and personal style of teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first class training while maintaining the distinct aesthetic, appearance, atmosphere and culture of The Camp
- Plan and develop a variety of exercise routines with appropriate music and choreograph different movements appropriate for each class
- Educate participants on proper form and modification of moves when needed
- Explain and enforce safety rules and proper usage of exercise equipment
- Monitor participation and make necessary adjustments when appropriate
- Provide support, guidance, and positive reinforcement to help clients achieve goals
- Greet and encourage new participants and orient them to class
Qualifications
- Experience leading group training and/or experience as a personal trainer
- Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique and rhythm
- Friendly, outgoing, and perceptive personality with a strong sense of integrity and self-confidence
- Exceptional customer service skills with a desire to build strong interpersonal relationships
- Availability for non-traditional hours, including early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate and connect with diverse group of individuals of all age groups and fitness levels
- Personal Trainer Certification, Group Training Certification, CPR Certified
- Passion and enthusiasm for health and fitness
- Ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, and stand for 2-4 hours a day
- Ability to lift heavy weights and equipment of 50+ pounds
