About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Growing Futures Coordinator to join our team in developing a community garden, supporting Youth programming, coordinating outdoor exploration, and promoting environmental advocacy efforts. This position requires a range of gardening skills, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with fellow gardeners and community members. If you have a passion for community building we invite you to apply and contribute to the growth and vitality of our community garden. Previous experience is preferred, but not necessary. Job Type: Part-time, Hourly, Non-exempt, 25 hours/week
Expected schedule: Tuesday - Saturday; hours vary by sunlight, though generally fall between the hours of 10 am and 5:30 pm

Work Environment:
This position operates in public and private community spaces such as indoor youth centers and community gardens. The role may involve exposure to unsanitary conditions such as handling soil, food waste, yard waste, etc. Navigating interactions with different personalities in public is to be expected. Staff are expected to follow all safety protocols and demonstrate cultural competency and trauma-informed care in all interactions.
