 Jiva SalonSpa, a busy downtown Cedar Falls Aveda lifestyle salon & spa, is looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join our team! This position is an important part of our business, as our Guest Coordinator provides our guests with their first and last impression of our salon. If you are passionate about providing an excellent guest experience, this may be the right position for you!

In addition to ensuring an exceptional guest experience, this role also includes responsibilities as a Wedding Coordinator and Social Media Content Creator. We're seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is detail-oriented, and can effectively manage multiple priorities.

Job Responsibilities

Guest Coordinator Duties:

• Providing all guests with an excellent guest experience
• Scheduling guest salon and spa services while implementing proper procedures
• Educating guests on services and products
• Maximizing books for each service professional in a fair and consistent manner
• Closing sales and encouraging guests to pre-book services
• Resolving guest challenges, utilizing support from the Salon Manager when necessary
• Responsibility for balancing and checking register drawer
• Interacting with other team members and management with professionalism and teamwork

Wedding Coordinator Duties:

• Serving as the primary point of contact for wedding parties and bridal clients
• Coordinating and scheduling bridal services, including hair, makeup, and other requested treatments
• Ensuring seamless communication between the salon team and wedding parties to deliver an exceptional experience

Social Media Content Creator Duties:

• Creating engaging content that showcases our services, team, and salon culture in a way that increases engagement and attracts new clients
• Collaborating with team members to highlight promotions, special events, and community involvement

Requirements

• One year previous experience in a similar environment preferred
• Excellent client service, communication and organization skills
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Ability to perform basic computer skills
• Self-motivated and ready to go above and beyond
• Team player
