Guitar Instructor (2025-2026 School Year)

The Denver Waldorf School is seeking a passionate and experienced Guitar Instructor for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will teach high school students in grades 9–12. This is a part-time position scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:55 PM to 1:40 PM.

The Denver Waldorf School is a friendly and lively urban K-12 school with 300 students located in Denver, Colorado with the splendor of the Rocky Mountains just a short trip away. Founded in 1974, we are a fully accredited full member school of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, the Waldorf Early Childhood Association and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools.   

Responsibilities:

• Instruct and inspire students in guitar technique, music theory, and performance. 
• Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment. 
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of students in grades 9–12.
   

Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience with high school students preferred. 
• Strong background in guitar performance and music education. 
• Ability to work collaboratively within a Waldorf educational setting is a plus.

Working Hours:

This is a part-time, hourly position beginning August 11, 2025, and continuing through May 29, 2026. This position is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:55 PM to 1:40 PM. The schedule follows the school calendar, with workdays aligning with days when school is in session, in addition to back to school meetings in August.
