Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists members in the proper use and maintenance of Wellness Center equipment and services, including serving as leader of exercise routines. Maintains the cleanliness of the Wellness Center.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for opening/closing of the Wellness Center including turning on/off machines/lights.
2. Receives payment of membership dues or daily use fees.
3. Updates membership records, ensures that those utilizing services are current members.
4. Provides orientation to new members.
5. Assists members with machine use.
6. Answers general inquiry and telephone calls to the Wellness Center.
7. General cleaning of the facility including but not limited to: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash disposal, wiping down of walls, fixtures, mirrors, equipment and furniture, window washing, disinfecting, laundry, and refilling soap/paper goods dispensers. Keeps supply storage areas in clean and orderly condition.
8. Applies adequate safeguards in the use and storage of equipment and supplies for the protection of employees, members and visitors.
9. Participates regularly in education programs offered by the hospital and the department in-service schedule. Attends department meetings, unless excused by supervisor.
10. Knows and adheres to general hospital/departmental policies and procedures including infection control and safety policies, dress code, disaster plan, and confidentiality.
11. Performs other job related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

Basic Life Support Certification

PRN position; 8-12 hours per week; One weekend per month
