Gymnastics Instructor - Preschool

JOB OVERVIEW 

This year round position is responsible for the organization and implementation of day-to-day activities in our preschool gymnastic program ages 6 month to 6 years at our Boulder Point Facility located in Montgomery, IL. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING 

• Age 16 years and up. 


• No experience required; on-the-job training provided. 


• Experience working with young children is preferred.


• Gymnastics or dance experience is a plus, but not required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

• An understanding of the principles of customer service. 


• Ability to organize and lead a variety of gymnastics programs. 


• Ability to organize and lead age-appropriate gymnastics activities for young children.


• Ability to tactfully discuss student’s behavior, both positive and negative, with the student and parents. 


• Excellent oral and written communication skills. 


• Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, First Aid, and DCFS Certifications. 


• Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the district.  


• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine enjoyment of working with young children.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Teach Mini Gym and preschool gymnastics classes. 


• Assist in the planning and execution of open gyms, and special events. 


• Assist in marketing and promoting the gymnastics program. 


• Serve in a professional and courteous manner with the highest regard to the customer. 


• Attend staff meetings and trainings. 


• Other duties as assigned by your coordinator and/or supervisor.

Hours:
Evenings and weekends required. Some morning availability preferred. 

Rate:
$17-$19/hr DOE
