Job Description - Hai Hai Bartender

We are currently hiring a Bartender to join our team part-time.

At Hai Hai, we try to transport guests during their stay, to a place that is an oasis from their everyday life. After all vacation is just a state of mind. We are looking for a Bartender for the restaurant who can keep that vibe going. Hai Hai has been a vibrant addition to the Minneapolis restaurant scene for years now, and we’re looking for team members who are committed to excellence and to providing the warm and welcoming hospitality of our brand.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about hospitality, food and cocktails, and is  energetic, punctual, dependable, positive, and comfortable with fast-paced food service.

  • Be passionate and develop a strong knowledge of all food and beverage menus
  • Perform calmly and efficiently in a high-volume environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1+ years experience in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to stand and be on your feet for extended periods of time
WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:
  • $15.57 an hour / plus tips
  • Saturdays and Sundays are a must

ABOUT US:
Hai Hai is our tribute to everything we love about Southeast Asia. Bright & fresh dishes full of herbs, bold flavors & textures, drinks with tropical fruits & ingredients, and bustling spaces filled with lush greenery. Our menu focuses on scratch-made small plates and shareable dishes inspired by street food from countries throughout Southeast Asia.
 
At Hai Hai, we designed the food, drinks & atmosphere to evoke nostalgia of tropical Asian places that are well-worn, well-loved, and full of plants and vibrant colors. We hope to give our guests an experience unlike any other they can get in Minneapolis and make it a special place for them.

The menu at Hai Hai is crafted by our Chef-Owner Christina Nguyen, who is a 2024 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef Midwest. Inspired by dishes that she grew up eating at home, at family celebrations, in Vietnamese Sunday school basements & during several trips to Southeast Asia, you can expect to find more than just the standards like pho & pad thai. Hai Hai shines the spotlight on some lesser-known delicious regional dishes, along with new & original dishes using the Southeast Asian palette of flavors. Our cocktails are vacation drinks made with Southeast Asian ingredients & fruits. Since opening, Hai Hai has received numerous national and local awards, and positive press over the years.
