About the Role:
We are hiring a dedicated in-person tutor to provide small-group academic support in biology to high school students at Talent Unlimited High School. In this role, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver personalized instruction that helps students build their skills, enhance their confidence, and achieve academic success.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with teachers and school leaders to deliver targeted, subject-specific academic support in high school biology.
  Engage small groups of students, helping them understand challenging concepts and achieve their academic potential.
  Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and resilience.
  Be an integral part of a team dedicated to transforming educational outcomes in underserved communities.

Schedule:

• Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Time: 10:00 AM to 2:20 PM
• Duration: September 4th, 2025 – November 26th, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
• Key Dates Off: 
  • Wednesday, September 24 - Rosh Hashanah, Monday, October 13 - Italian heritage/indigenous Peoples Day, Monday, October 20 - Diwali.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching high school biology.
• Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a willingness to work closely with teachers and students.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to effectively connect with students and school staff.
• Passion: A commitment to educational equity and helping students from diverse backgrounds succeed.
• Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently.
