Abernathy Home Care is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for Home Health Aides (HHA), Personal Care Assistants (PCA), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) looking for flexible shifts and meaningful work in private home care.

Position Summary

As a valued member of Abernathy Home Care, you will provide high-quality, client-centered care that helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support activities of daily living, provide companionship, and assist with light household tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing)

  
  


• 
  

  Perform light housekeeping and laundry

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare and serve meals; assist with feeding as needed

  
  


• 
  

  Provide medication reminders under nurse supervision

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor and report changes in client condition

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with safe mobility and transfers

  
  


• 
  

  Provide companionship and emotional support

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate and timely documentation

  
  

  Requirements

  
  
  
  
  • 
    

    Valid HHA, PCA, or CNA certification

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Prior home care or healthcare experience preferred

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Must be at least 18 years of age

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Ability to work independently and follow care plans

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Physically able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Strong communication and reliability

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Must pass CORI/background and reference checks

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Supportive Home Care Aide certification a plus

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

    
    
  
  
  • Must be able to work SHORT SHIFTS
