Priority Group Services, a leading home care provider in New Jersey, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes. In this role, you'll help improve patients' quality of life by offering essential support and companionship in a comfortable, familiar setting.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
- Care for a 36-year-old patient, assisting with daily tasks and ensuring overall well-being.
- Working hours: approximately 42 hours per week
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support safe mobility and transfers, ensuring patient comfort and security.
- Prepare and serve balanced meals, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to keep the environment clean, safe, and organized.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a warm and encouraging atmosphere.
- Keep accurate records of patient care activities and promptly report any concerns when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 6 months of experience as an HHA or in a related caregiving role.
- Valid New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification is required.
- A strong sense of compassion, patience, and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and families.
- Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols effectively.
