We are looking for a Home Health Aid to join our team! You will directly work with clients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes.
You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist patients with daily activities, such as transferring in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
- Care for clients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, preparing meals, and assisting with personal care.
- Maintain records of client care, including their condition, progress, and any problems, to report and discuss observations with your supervisor.
- Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to keep them mentally engaged and alert.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Engage patients in exercises and other activities.
**Qualifications:**
- Graduation from an accredited Home Health Aide program or the ability to pass the Florida Home Health Aide competency test, which we will administer prior to your interview.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five or more years of prior experience in senior caregiving.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proof of auto insurance with your name on the policy.
- Proof of current CPR certification (must be a course certified by the American Heart Association, including in-person validation of skills).
- Ability to pass the AHCA background screening.
