Horse Handler/ Ranch Support Aide

Compensation:

$16.50 - $18.55 an hour

Duties:

• Handling horses for sessions
• Assisting with events and camps
• Exercising horses
• Maintaining animal wellness
• Grooming animals
• Assisting with barn chores
• Feeding animals
• Knowledge of equine anatomy
• Report to ranch manager
• Assist with vet and farrier appointments
• Facility cleanliness

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Equine knowledge
• Long-lining knowledge preferred
• Ability and willingness to work weekends.
• Demonstrate sound decision making skills.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Salesforce.
• Ability and willingness to work in a standing position for long periods of time, in doors, and outdoors, during inclement weather.
• Ability and willingness to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Ability and willingness to lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 40-50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Ability and willingness to bend, squat, stoop, and climb stairs on a consistent basis.
• Ability to treat all employees and clients in a respectful manner.
• Ability and willingness to assist with horsemanship camp, horse handling, and other ranch activities, as needed.
