Job Description - HOST - Seasonal

Description

RockCreek Seafood & Spirits in Kirkland is currently seeking a resourceful, personable, and dynamic Front Desk staff member to join our team for the season. 

Please note: This is a seasonal position that has the potential to convert to part-time variable hour employment if it is available post season. We expect the employment to range from approximately May through mid September.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking reservations, processing Gift Card transactions, and seating and ensuring guest satisfaction and experience while working within a team atmosphere. We are looking for those who are dedicated and truly enjoy the service industry. We offer sick pay, employee discounts for dining, career growth opportunities, & benefits.

Position includes hourly rate, tips, and benefits.

We practice tip sharing as a company, more commonly referred to as tipping-out, as well as tip pooling. The Host position is tipped out through our tip sharing policy and allocated based on the hours worked by the individual.

Wage Range and Benefits

  • Hourly Wage is $20/hour plus tips.
  • Sick pay is awarded at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. All PSSL is accrued and available for use in accordance with Washington State and local laws.
  • Employee receives 5 designated unpaid days off - Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and the 4th of July (or observed).
  • Employee Assistance Program provided upon hire at no cost to employee.
  • 50% Employee discount provided, for up to three additional guests if dining with you. 
  • Employee Referral Incentive Program offered.
  • Weekly pay days.

Requirements

  • Availability to work day, nights and weekends.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Work floor while maintaining service standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to organize, plan, multi-task, coordinate, and manage reservations, walk-ins, and guests in a timely manner.
  • Proper phone etiquette and managing of the phone system while seating guests.
  • Awareness of table courses, turns, servers’ pace, kitchen pace, and guest satisfaction.
  • Successfully be the ambassador representing the brand.
  • Continually detailing and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the front desk.
  • Completing all opening and closing side-work duties daily.
  • Responding expediently and efficiently to guest’s requests, concerns, and complaints.
  • Nurturing a positive working environment.
  • Maintaining a degree of creativity and latitude in all situations, issues, and events
  • Ability to book reservations in our Private Dining Room.
  • Self-motivated and punctual.
  • A desire to grow and take constructive feedback.
