Sarasota Bay Club is seeking a Part Time Host/Hostess to join our team! No late nights.  Weekends and Holiday availability required.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

1. Take reservations by phone and in person for dining and for to-go orders. Answer phone, check messages and return calls promptly.


2. Create table assignments and assign tables according to guest request when possible.


3. Greet residents by name and seat them.


4. Make sure daily menu is displayed.


5. Maintain professional visibility in the dining area at all times during service hours. Address all questions and concerns regarding dining services immediately.


6. Provide seating chart to supervisor before dining service.


7. Provide final headcount for day to F&B Director.


8. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  Previous fine dining experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Excellent oral communicator. Excellent telephone skills and professional manner. Must be able to work well and provide excellent customer service under pressure. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Must possess math and problem solving abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-50 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time standing or sitting. Ability to lead residents to table and assist with seating.
