House Manager/ Family Assistant Part - Time

This role is designed for someone who has spent years managing a home and is ready to bring that same level of care, organization, and ownership into a structured, paid position.

The household consists of a busy professional couple with two school-aged children. Mornings are active, but once the children leave for school, the home becomes a quiet workspace where systems, organization, and daily resets matter most.

This is a household operations role for someone who takes pride in creating order, maintaining systems, and ensuring a home runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Who This Role Is For

This role is an excellent fit for a mom who has been the operator of her own household.

If you’ve spent years:

• managing groceries, meals, and supplies

• keeping a home organized and functional

• staying on top of laundry, routines, and daily resets

• coordinating schedules, activities, and moving pieces

then you already have the core skills for this role.

You are not starting over you are applying what you already know how to do, at a high level, in a different home.

What You’ll DoHousehold Reset & Organization (Primary Focus)

• Maintain a clean, organized, and consistently reset home

• Return items (toys, shoes, household items) to their proper place daily

• Follow and maintain existing organization systems (with support from a professional organizer)

• Stay ahead of clutter and proactively keep the home in order

Kitchen & Food Support

• Reset the kitchen daily (dishes, surfaces, cookware, appliances)

• Prepare school lunches for two children

• Assist with light food prep (washing, chopping, organizing ingredients)

• Maintain fridge organization and pantry systems

Grocery Shopping & Restocking

• Manage household inventory and supplies

• Place and manage grocery orders (Costco, Instacart, specialty stores)

• Keep the home fully stocked with food, toiletries, and essentials

• Follow dietary needs including gluten-free, lactose-free, and ingredient awareness

Laundry & Home Care

• Handle laundry (wash, fold, organize)

• Change bed linens weekly

• Maintain closet and clothing organization

Decluttering & Home Projects

• Organize children’s items, toys, and shared spaces

• Coordinate donations and removal of unused items

• Support larger projects like organizing storage areas and preparing guest spaces

• Work alongside a professional organizer to maintain systems

Errands & Household Logistics

• Run errands and manage online orders

• Break down boxes, manage recycling, and maintain entry areas

• Take out trash and ensure weekly pickup readiness

Light Family Support (Occasional)

• Prepare school lunches and help keep children’s items organized

• Provide occasional backup support (e.g., emergency school drop-off)

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

• Wednesday: Shorter day (~4 hours)

• Opportunity for additional hours depending on candidate and structure

This schedule is intentionally aligned with school hours.
