Job Description - House Manager- Volunteer Position



Summary

The House Manager Volunteer will be responsible for the directing, coordinating, managing and supervising of all activities for the sober living residence. This will include oversight of resident activities & behaviors, and in securing the highest possible quality of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supervise policies, procedures, programs and directs implementation of such.

  • Serve as primary liaison with residents and families.

  • Check curfew daily. 

  • Ensure the safety of the home and its residents.  

  • Enforce and report violations to the no-fraternization policy. 

  • Conduct breathalyzer testing every day.

  • Supervise the daily chore board, ensuring the residents complete their chores in a timely and proper fashion. Advise Administration of supply needs prior to running out. 

  • Monitor and verify 12-step meeting attendance of the residents.

  • Organize & conduct the weekly house meeting.

  • Oversee and manage the process of moving in or out a resident. 

  • Prepare the bedroom, bedding, bathroom, and common areas for new residents.

  • Advise Administration immediately of any repairs needed. 

  • Overseeing strict adherence by the residents of the House Rules and Resident Agreement. 

  • Promote an environment of recovery in the home at all times.

  • Assure functionality, cleanliness, and orderliness of the home, exercise equipment, and computer equipment. Maintain inventory of equipment. 

  • Interact with residents, individually or as a group, to discuss concerns, needs, and grievances and implement appropriate plans of action.

  • Make written incident reports concerning accidents, injuries, relapses, etc..

Managing a sober living home takes dedication, passion for helping others and time. The house manager is the face of the company for their home and is expected to be professional, courteous, articulate and honest at all times.

* Compensation listed below is for a move-in allowance. 



Compensation: $16.00 per hour
