Housekeeper

Advanced Health Care of Cincinnati is a state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility specializing in transitional rehab care, seeking a Housekeeping Attendant (part-time weekend shifts) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 year of professional housekeeping experience and will be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, laundry, and common areas. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and infection control throughout the facility, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents, their families, and staff. 

Reports to:  Housekeeper Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces, following established cleaning protocols, schedules, and standards. 
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and fixtures, using appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants, and replenish supplies as needed. 
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces, including windowsills, ledges, and baseboard, using dusters, cloths, and vacuum cleaners, to remove dust, dirt, and debris. 
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstery, and sweep and mop hard surface floors, using vacuum cleaners, brooms, and mops to remove direct, stains, and allergens. 
• Change bed linens and make beds, ensuring cleanliness, comfort, and proper placement of sheets, blankets, and pillows, in resident rooms and common areas. 
• Empty trash and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas, following infection control and wage management protocols. 
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, handrails, and elevator buttons, to prevent the spread of germs and infectious diseases. 
• Inspect and report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning rounds to supervisors or maintenance staff for prompt resolution. 
• Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks such as floor waxing, carpet, shampooing, and upholstery cleaning, as assigned by supervisors. 
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including safety regulations, infection control protocols, and confidentiality guidelines, while performing housekeeping duties. 
• Perform all other duties as requested by management. 

Laundry Attendant Duties:

• Washing, drying, folding, and stocking of clean linens such as towels, washcloths, blankets, sheets, and other bedding
• Washing, drying, and folding of patient's personal clothing
• Operation of laundry room equipment such as washers, dryers, and sinks
• Manages and handles laundry supplies
• Following proper infection control practices to ensure sanitary management and use of linens

Housekeeping Duties:

• Cleans patient rooms following housekeeping policies and procedures
• Maintains cleanliness of offices and communal areas
• Operates housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, carpet cleaners, and other equipment
• Manages and handles housekeeping supplies
• Follows proper infection control practices and procedures to ensure clean, homelike environment
• Follows Housekeeping and Laundry policies and procedures
