Canterbury Court is a retirement community located in the heart of Buckhead where we put our hearts into creating a true community. As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization, we reinvest revenue into our community for the benefit of residents and staff. We are Atlanta’s first Life Plan Community (LPC) – what some call a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). Canterbury Court is looking for Part-time Housekeepers to join our family.

The part-time Housekeeper must sincerely desire to serve older adults in a quality care setting and strive to provide excellence and consistency in facilities.

Performs general cleaning duties in apartments: dusting furniture, vacuuming floors, emptying trash, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen units thoroughly, sweeping balconies, washing glass doors, and cleaning ceiling vents.

Cleans floor lounges which involves sweeping balconies, cleaning mirrors, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, washing windows, defrosting and cleaning refrigerators, cleaning stoves, ovens, and kitchen units.

Clean floor laundry rooms by mopping floors, cleaning dryer vents, and washing appliances.

Performs other cleaning duties on floor chutes and floor hallways.

Maintains equipment which includes vacuums and carts.

Uses cleaning substances in a safe and responsible manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION

Minimum grammar school education. Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Shall be capable of making mature judgments and have no physical or mental disabilities or personality disturbances that might

interfere with carrying out the responsibilities of this position.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Some experience helpful. Training will be provided for all required functions. Should be honest, possess good judgment, tact, compassion, and integrity.
