Position: Hygiene Assistant
Location: Mount Vernon Dental Smiles
Employment Type: Part-time

Schedule: Friday and Saturdays 9a-5p

*MUST HAVE A DENTAL ASSISTANT LICENSE*

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dental hygienist in performing patient care duties
   
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
   
• Provide excellent patient care by ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment
   
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
   
• Assist in maintaining patient records and updating medical histories
   
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care instructions
   
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and office safety standards
   

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Hygiene Assistant or in a similar role
   
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
   
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
   
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
   
• Certification in dental radiography (required)
   
• CPR certification (preferred)

• Must possess Radiology Certificate
• High school graduate or GED Equivalent.
• Team Player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
