Saint Patrick Catholic School is currently seeking a Guitar Instructor to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, and will be able to help students develop their musical abilities. Group lessons would be held Monday through Friday before school to coincide with zero bell from 7:00 a.m. - 7:50 a.m. Private lessons and group lessons will be offered after school from 3:30-6:00 p.m. The instructor arranges their schedule around those times. Class size would depend on number of student sign-ups and experience levels of each. Payment would be per student, paid on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities

• Teach students of all ages and skill levels how to play the guitar


• Create lesson plans that are tailored to each students individual needs and goals


• Provide constructive feedback and encourage and motivate students to practice and develop their skills
  


• Perform other duties as directed by school administration

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a a Guitar Instructor


• Strong knowledge of music theory and piano technique


• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, possess strong interpersonal skills
  


• Patient, encouraging and able to motivate students


• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods


• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds, climb stairs, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop and run


• Authorized to work in the United States
  

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field preferred. Equivalent experience in lieu of education considered.
