Job Title: Shift Manager

Company: Lexington Sporting Club (LSC)

Description:

Lexington Sporting Club (LSC) boasts two premier indoor soccer facilities and is seeking a motivated, energetic, and articulate Shift Manager to oversee all aspects of facility operations during evening and weekend hours. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of league scheduling, facility maintenance, and staff supervision. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Supervision: Manage and support all employees on duty, ensuring adherence to LSC’s standards of excellence, policies, and procedures. Provide guidance, training, and corrective action as needed to uphold our high service standards.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee all LSC operations during your shift to guarantee exceptional guest satisfaction and safety. Communicate nightly activities to ensure seamless transitions for the following day.
  • Facility Management: Ensure that the facility and equipment are properly maintained, and that cleanliness and order are consistently upheld to create a healthy environment.
  • Guest Relations: Address and resolve guest issues and concerns with professionalism and efficiency. Assist with league sign-ups, rentals, and other guest services.
  • Administrative Duties: Oversee the closing procedures for the facility, ensure accurate completion of paperwork, assist with onboarding new hires, and manage monthly staffing schedules.
  • Inventory and Maintenance: Monitor inventory of uniforms and promotional items, manage the Maintenance Log, and perform periodic cash drops to maintain financial accuracy.

Operations Support Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with LSC’s policies and procedures.
  • Manage front desk binders and daily activity logs.
  • Assist with facility walk-throughs and operational improvements.
  • Communicate with the General Manager regarding operational enhancements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, motivate staff positively, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Communication: Exhibit      exceptional communication and team-building skills. Handle customer issues with patience and professionalism.
  • Organization: Possess strong organizational and management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism and a superior sense of customer service.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including late afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a sports or related industry.
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification and basic first aid training required within 60 days of hire.
  • Education: Relevant experience or education in sports management or a related field is preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Two year of leadership experience preferred

• Sport or related industry experience preferred

• Current CPR certification and basic first aid training within 60 days of hire
