Industrial Field Technician - Part-Time

We are currently seeking Part-Time Field Technicians to join our Industrial Services Team. For this position, you will assist with Industrial projects in solids separations dewatering processing and operations at our client's refinery site in Linden, NJ.

Q: What is Industrial solids separation and dewatering at our client site?

A: Utilizing a Filter Press, this is a batch operation fixed volume machine that separates liquids and solids using pressure filtration. A slurry is pumped into the filter press and dewatered under pressure. It is used for water and wastewater treatment in a variety of different applications ranging from industrial to municipal.

What will be my responsibilities:

· As part of a team, you will assist with various solids separations and dewatering projects in a refinery setting.

· Use hand and power tools and also work on pumps, gauges and filter presses.

· Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.

· Be exposed to indoor and outdoor activities and be scheduled for Saturday & Sunday Shifts (5AM to 5PM).

· Professionally represent Handex at all times.

Requirements

Skills needed for success:

· High school diploma/GED.

· Vocational Technical education or training in Wastewater, Environmental, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive, Mechanical or · Plumbing experience a plus, but not required.

· Experience working in an industrial chemcial, remediation, wastewater, emergency response clean up or oil & gas operations.

· Ability to work 1-2 days on the weekends with 12 hour shifts (5AM to 5PM). Flexibility with a rotational schedule and vacation coverages a plus.

· Reliable and dependable with a can do attitude a must.

· Comfortable being in an industrial/refinery setting both indoors and outside as well as confined spaces and able to lift 50 lbs.

· Valid driver license in good standing required.

· TWIC card and 40 Hour OSHA. 

· Must be able to pass pre-employment physical including drug/alcohol as well as criminal and MVR checks.

Salary Range:

$25.00 an hour.
