Job Summary:
Minto's Casa is seeking a compassionate, patient, and energetic Toddler/Infant Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. The ideal candidate will support the developmental needs of infants and toddlers through age-appropriate activities, fostering social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement daily activities, including play-based learning, storytime, arts and crafts, and sensory experiences tailored to the developmental stages of infants and toddlers.
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with nap times, while maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Observe and document children’s progress, sharing updates with parents and caregivers regularly.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, curiosity, and independence.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and childcare regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child’s individual needs and development goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (education in Early Childhood Education preferred).
- Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and staff.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
Work Environment:
- Full-time or part-time position in a daycare, preschool, or early learning center.
- Schedule may include mornings, afternoons, or full-day shifts depending on facility needs.
