Job Description - Insurance Billing Assistant

Hayden Lake Physical Therapy and Aquatics is seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual to join our busy physical therapy practice as a part-time Insurance Billing Specialist, 20-30 hours per week. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring insurance billing is accurate and complete, contributing to a seamless and positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:

· Review charges/claims for accuracy and completeness

· Follow-up on unpaid claims

· Collaborate with Insurance Verification Specialists, Providers and Billing Team to resolve billing issues

· Use EMR and an integrated billing system for documentation and claims submission

· Use critical thinking for problem solving

· Follow HIPAA regulations

· Assist the Billing Manager and A/R Specialist as needed with claims tasks

· Other tasks and duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Previous medical billing experience is preferred

· Organizational skills with attention to detail

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

· Regular attendance is required

Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
