Under the supervision of the Field Representative the Outreach worker will have these duties: Client Intake and Interviewing:
Conduct initial interviews with clients seeking assistance.
Gather detailed information about clients' needs, background, and situation to understand their specific requirements.
Eligibility Determination
Review and assess client eligibility for services based on predefined criteria in the client file.
Ensure that all necessary documentation and information are available to make an informed decision. Client
File Review
Regularly review the client file to ensure that all required services have been properly documented and completed.
Collaborate with the supervisor to ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Data Entry
Input client information into New Gen software or other required systems for proper record-keeping.
Ensure that all information is entered accurately and in a timely manner to maintain up-to-date client records.
Referral Process:
Consult with your supervisor before referring a client who is not eligible for services to other appropriate agencies or resources.
Provide the client with guidance or resources for alternative support as needed.
Assistance with Related Services
Offer support with any additional services required to complete the client’s service package.
Collaborate with other departments or agencies to ensure comprehensive assistance is provided.
Additional Duties:
Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor related to the position.
Assist in special projects or help improve processes to enhance client service.
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

COFFO is a statewide nonprofit organization, whose main objective is to enhance the living and working conditions of migrant and seasonal farmworkers and the rural poor in Florida. It is governed by a nine(9) member Board of Directors of which 1/3 are representative of the Public Sector, 1/3 are representative of the Private Sector, 1/3 of the Low Income Sector. While its main services are delivered by the Florida City and Immokalee offices, it provides statewide services when an agricultural disaster is declared by the Governor. COFFO delivers services to farmworkers and the rural poor in 13 counties in the state of Florida and works with other farmworker organizations to ensure that farmworkers are benefiting from the services available and that duplication is kept to a minimum.
