Job Description - Interim Controller

Part-time, Temporary

Description

Interim Controller

Time period: November 24-February 28. Flexible transition/training period sometime in October-November. 15-20 hours/week.

Job Type: Remote, as needed. Would prefer 1x/week onsite for check-in.

Requirements

Bank reconciliations for November 2025, December 2025, and January 2026
Run month end report for November 2025, December 2025, and January 2026
Review monthly membership changes with Executive Admin
Reconcile member dues, capital charges, assessments, initiation fees
Post charges in system
Facilitate month-end accounting close, posting journal entries
Produce financial statements for November 2025, December 2025, and January 2026
Prepare and file sales tax returns for Illinois & City of Highland Park for November 2025, December 2025, and January 2026
Operating budget preparation
First draft is targeted for completion before interim period begins
Assist with making adjustments per GM, department heads
General assistance as needed for accounting staff
