Job Description - Interim Wellness Center Manager

Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for operation and management of the Wellness Center including but not limited to development and promotion of wellness education and wellness programs. Hiring, training and supervision of wellness center staff. Organize and develop wellness programs within budget. Establishes objectives and policies for the Wellness Center and interprets them to staff.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports the mission and behavior standards of HD6 providing a positive example to staff and members.
  2. Responsible for the overall development, marketing, evaluation and implementation of wellness trends for programs/classes for staff and members.
  3. Designs and develops a balanced program of wellness activities to meet the diverse needs of the community.
  4. Develop adequate safeguards in the use and storage of equipment and supplies for the protection of employees, members and visitors.
  5. Serves as a wellness instructor and educator.
  6. Supervises wellness instructors and administrative staff providing ongoing feedback about job performance.
  7. Develops work schedules to ensure staff presence during hours of operation.
  8. Manages ongoing training of all staff in content, technique and the process by which wellness services are provided.
  9. Maintains current membership information including name, address, health conditions and wellness goals.
  10. Develops new member orientation program and ensures all members are properly oriented to equipment and services.
  11. Develops, reviews and revises wellness schedules for members.
  12. Develops a positive approach to customer service addressing member concerns timely.
  13. Increase membership and member retention through marketing activities and relationship building with individuals and corporations/businesses.
  14. Initiate/actively recruit member participation and involvement in programs and services.
  15. Maintains utilization and attendance records of members providing reports as necessary or requested by CEO or CFO for program analysis and state/federal reporting needs.
  16. Attends wellness related classes, seminars, and conferences as needed and approved by CEO.
  17. Participates regularly in education programs offered by the hospital and the department in-service schedule. Attends department meetings, unless excused by supervisor.
