Intersect Project Director: Access Services (Contractor/Employee)

The Intersect Project Director has a unique calling to use their project management skills to support an interdisciplinary team evaluating services provided by the Intersect Division of Access Services.  This person will have the ability to work with individuals serving across a variety of sectors that include social services, faith communities, and the academy.   

 What are your unique tasks?  

The Intersect Project Director assists a Project Leadership Team consisting of individuals from Intersect, the University of Pennsylvania and an Interdisciplinary Advisory Board.  The Project being supported is a 3-year study (year 1 just ended) funded by the Templeton Foundation titled: Improving Mental Health Through Partnerships between Faith Communities and Mental Health Service Organizations: Evaluation and Expansion of Intersect.  Tasks will include 1) keeping the team on task to meet its goals and outcomes as defined by the Project Proposal, 2) coordinating/attending meetings of the Project Leadership Team and Advisory Board and 3) ensuring that Intersect’s internal processes are working to identify and assemble necessary data. 

 Work Schedule: Approx. 10-16 hours per week; Days and times are dependent on client needs. 

Work Location: Hybrid, with in person attendance of required meetings across Bucks County, Montgomery County, and Philadelphia.

Key Responsibilities of the Intersect Project Director:  

• Manage a project funded by the Templeton Foundation as part of a leadership team with staff from Intersect and the University of Pennsylvania. 

• Report to and partner with the Senior Director of Intersect at Access Services. 

• Record and distribute minutes from team meetings. 

• Keep the team on track to meet its stated goals and outcomes for the project as outlined in the project proposal. 

• Plan, develop and send out the agenda for meetings with the project Advisory Board. 

• Ensure that the project team is working within the confines of the project budget. 

• Collaborate with internal Access program staff who can help support the success of the project. 

• Collaborate with external faith community members and leaders who can help support the success of the project. 

• Develop and run reports through the electronic health record to assess Intersect outcomes. 

• Lead various projects, task groups, and assignments that promote organizational growth. 

• Ensure various assignments are carried out in a pluralistic environment, which encompasses sensitivity to the religious needs of many separate religious denominations and faith groups. 

• Accurately maintain required data records. 

• Assist coworkers as assigned and when unusual work circumstances or emergencies occur.

Education:  

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, theology or a related field is required 

Experience:  

• 3-5 years of experience working in social work (preferred) 

• 3-5 years of experience working in ministry (preferred) 

• Demonstrated ability to work with people of all faiths or those with no traditional belief system (required) 

• Demonstrated ability to cultivate effective partnerships internally and externally (required) 

Knowledge, Ability, and Skills:  

• Excellent grammar and written communication skills. 

• Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and presentation skills. 

• Ability to effectively build and foster a wide variety of community relationships with clients, donors, partners, and volunteers. 

• Knowledge of local faith communities and faith-based service organizations. 

• Knowledge of local social service organizations and systems of care. 

• Ability to work independently and take initiative to find meaningful solutions to complex problems. 

• Experience documenting and relaying information to ensure all program and client information are current. 

• Knowledge and ability to use computers and required technology platforms. 

• Ability to drive to meet with individuals and members of service providers/faith communities.

This job can be either a part time job for an employee of Access Services, or a contractor role for an individual outside of Access Services.

Pay: $35/hourly
