Job Title: Jewish Rabbi 

Location: Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Type of Job: Part-Time Position 

Schedule: Friday evening services, monthly Saturday morning services, and special holiday

Duties: 

• Conduct weekly Friday evening services, monthly Saturday morning services, and special holiday services adhering to Jewish religious guidelines and traditions.
• Provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and support to members of the Fort Belvoir Jewish community in accordance with Jewish ecclesiastical requirements. This includes conducting memorial services for deceased community members, visiting the infirmed in their homes or hospitals, and performing marriage ceremonies as needed.
• Offer instruction in various aspects of the Jewish faith to both adults and children, including preparation for B'nai Mitzvah candidates and their parents.

• Possession of Semikhah (rabbinic ordination) and sufficient education in Jewish Law (Halakha) and tradition.
• Good standing with the religious endorsing agent or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Jewish faith, beliefs, and traditions, with the ability to provide services in line with Torah guidelines for Military Services.
