K-6 Tutor

We’re hiring a caring and patient Elementary Tutor to provide in-person academic support for students in grades K–6 across the Carlsbad and Oceanside areas.

This role focuses on helping students build strong foundations in reading, writing, and math. Experience with special education or learning differences is a plus, as many of our students benefit from individualized, structured instruction.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Provide one-on-one tutoring in core subjects (math, reading, and writing)

  
  


• 
  

  Adapt instruction for different learning styles and abilities

  
  


• 
  

  Help students develop study skills, confidence, and motivation

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate student progress and strategies with families and our team

  
  


• Monitor students progress and submit session reports

Qualifications

• 
  

  Experience tutoring or teaching elementary students preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of foundational math and literacy skills (K–6 level)

  
  


• 
  

  Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with children

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in Carlsbad and Oceanside

  
  


• 
  

  After-school availability (typically between 3–5pm)

  
  


• 
  

  Background in special education or experience with students with learning differences is a plus
