K8 Kitchen Manager

Position
Overview:

The Kitchen Manager will oversee the daily operations of the
K–8 kitchen and lunch program, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient
environment. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and culinary
skills.

• Program
  Leadership: Manage and provide leadership for the daily K–8 lunch
  program, ensuring high-quality food service and a positive dining
  experience for students and staff.
  
• Regulatory
  Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all applicable local, state,
  and federal food service regulations and health department standards.
  
• Team
  Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of lunch assistants,
  cashiers, and kitchen volunteers, fostering a collaborative and productive
  team environment.
  
• Food
  Preparation: Assist with menu planning, prepare and cook meals,
  accommodate dietary needs and portion requirements.
  
• Kitchen
  Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen in
  accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  
• Inventory
  Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including ordering
  supplies, receiving deliveries, and reducing waste.
  

Requirements

• Experience in food service or
  culinary management (school nutrition experience preferred)
  
• Knowledge of food safety and
  sanitation standards
  
• Strong organizational and leadership
  skills
  
• Ability to work well with children
  and staff
  
• Food Handlers Certification or
  ability to obtain upon hire
