Normal Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Normal Work Days: Monday through Friday
Education/Experience
Must possess at least a high school diploma/GED.
Position Summary
Maintains kennel area; provides daily care for animals in the shelter; and assists in evaluating suitability of animals for adoption.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide sufficient food, water, vaccinations, and worming of animals to maintain animals’ health. Informs Director when supplies are low. Retrieves donated food from the community.
Maintain clean, sanitized kennel and animal run areas. Pick up trash and mow lawn adjacent to facility. Operates laundry.
Provides intake services for incoming animals; assigns and transports animals to cages; completes paperwork and maintains identification for each animal.
Assists Animal Control Officer with collecting stray animals and transporting to the shelter. Assist with disposition of animals not suitable for adoption.
Performs other related duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or as delegated/assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Must possess at least a high school diploma/GED.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Outlook email; and Microsoft Excel and Word Processing software.
Licenses
Maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Other Skills and Abilities
Operate common office equipment, telephone, PC, calculator, copy machines, printers, faxes etc.
