KH211 - Part-Time Laundress - West Village

A lovely family is seeking a part-time laundress for their home in the West Village. The schedule can be either two or three full days (8 hours per day). The family is open on which day(s). The main focus of this position is laundry (clothing, shoe, and purse care).

• All laundry for the family which includes bedding and all household linens, as well as child and adult clothing, from general laundry to fine garments.

• Machine washing and drying
• Hand washing
• Steaming
• Pressing
• Ironing
• Sorting bed linens
• Folding and closet maintenance 

• The ideal candidate will be efficient, detail oriented, a team-player (working with other staff BAHS has placed), and able to take feedback well.

• The candidate should have extensive experience and a solid understanding of fabrics and their care including leather, silk, etc.. They should be excellent at folding neatly, ironing, and maintaining organized closets and drawers. 
• Legal to work in the US.
• Prior knowledge and know-how of couture garment care.
• Excellent communication
• Comfortable working in a home with a dog

The family is offering $40/hr+ depending on experience.
