Kids Support – Hastings plays a key role in executing Crossroads’ unified Kids Ministry model at Hastings. This role helps to create an engaging, Christ-centered experience for children and families while supporting volunteer development, programming, and campus-specific needs. This person collaborates with central leadership to implement ministry strategies that reflect the values of care, excellence, and fun—ensuring every child feels loved and every family is supported.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Ministry Execution:
Execute the weekly children’s programming and curriculum as provided by central leadership, ensuring it is engaging, biblically grounded, and well prepared.
Volunteer Engagement:
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and caring for Kids Ministry volunteers. Ensure volunteers are well- trained, supported, and operating within a tiered structure of leadership.
Create a Welcoming Environment:
Help foster a safe, loving, and fun environment where kids and families feel valued, seen, and spiritually supported.
Family Partnership:
Serve as a key point of contact for parents and guardians. Offer resources, encouragement, and next steps that support families in leading their kids spiritually at home.
Team Communication:
Maintain regular communication with the Central Kids Ministry team to remain aligned with churchwide initiatives, content, and updates.
Pastoral Support:
Direct families, volunteers, and children towards pastoral support as needed.
Operational Readiness:
Assist in preparing classrooms, supplies, rosters, and volunteer assignments each week to ensure smooth, safe programming.
Special Events:
Participate in planning and execution of seasonal events, family experiences, and volunteer trainings hosted at the campus.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

Experience & Skills:
Previous experience in children’s ministry or family ministry preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfortable leading small teams and managing weekend operations.
