Reports To: Kitchen Manager / School Administration

Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and caring individual to join our kitchen team at our K–5 elementary school. This team member will play a vital role in preparing, serving, and cleaning up nutritious meals for our students. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily meal preparation according to menu and safety standards


• Set up serving areas and ensure proper food presentation


• Serve meals to students in a courteous and efficient manner


• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas


• Help with dishwashing and garbage disposal


• Support restocking and organizing food supplies


• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times


• Collaborate with the kitchen team and respond to any immediate needs during meal service

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Previous food service or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required


• Willingness to learn and participate in on-site training


• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods


• Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills


• Must pass background check and meet district/school employment requirements
