Laser Helper/Time Saver-1st Shift

The Laser Helper/Timesaver at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. will be responsible for assisting the laser operator in a fast-paced environment that includes setting up, maintaining, and operating the machine while ensuring quality and safety in the workplace. The laser helper will essentially be performing the manual tasks while the operator manages the machine operation. 

· Load and unload materials onto the laser cutting machine (lifting and positioning materials)

· Remove cut pieces from the machine and stack them according to specifications 

· Perform basic machine maintenance 

· Inspect finished parts to check for defects and ensure quality standards are met

· Assisting with minor adjustments to the machine

· Maintain clean workspace by removing scrap material and debris

· Ensure safety protocols are followed during the machine operation process

 Required:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/prints

· Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers

· Ability to understand machine programs

· Ability to modify machine programs

· Ability to use PC for basic editing; logging

· Ability to see details at close range

· Complies with company policies and procedures

Shift: 6:00AM-2:30pm - Monday- Friday

Preferred:

· Experience with automation

· Experience/knowledge of laser machines

Physical Requirements: 

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

· Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
