In this position, you will be responsible for organizing, cleaning, and sorting linens, including bedding and towels. Operating industrial washers and dryers, along with stocking linens throughout the facility.
Part-time
Schedule Monday through Friday - 7 am to noon - end time may vary
Hourly Wage: $15 - $16, depending on experience
- Load, operate, and unload washers and dryers.
- Folding clean linen after removing it from the dryers.
- Bring soiled linen from the household to the downstairs laundry room.
- Monitor laundry-related chemical levels and change out containers as needed (must wear PPE while working with any chemicals).
- Handling clean and soiled laundry appropriately.
- Stocking linen on the units.
- Light cleaning of the laundry rooms.
Requirements
- Experience working within a long-term care facility preferred.
- Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision.
- Ability to follow written and oral directions.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds; stretch arms above head; and be on feet most of the workday.
- Push, pull, lift, cleaning equipment and supplies.
