Licensed Music Therapist

Location:  Lexington VA Healthcare System for Lexington, KY 40502 
Job titles:  Music Therapist 
Job Type:  Part-time

Duties: 

• The Music Therapist will attend required team meetings at the Lexington VA Medical Center, as deemed necessary by the IHP Co-Directors. 

• The Music Therapist will provide said therapy to Veterans seen in the IHP, unless specified as otherwise by the IHP Co-Directors or associated LVAHCS staff. 

• The Music Therapist must create a safe environment of healing and restoration for Veterans. 

• The Music Therapist should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of VHA guidelines and policies and adhere to guidelines set forth by the IHP. 

Qualifications: 

• The Music Therapist must have a master’s degree in music. 

• The Applicant must be a Licensed Music Therapist. 

• Instructors shall have three years of experience. 

Time of Operation: 

• Programming will run Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0700-1900.
