Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Contractpersonnel are responsible for the following PRN tasks:
Provide Skilled nursing services: Skilled nursing services are provided by a RN or a LPN under the supervision of a RN, in accordance with a medically approved plan of care (Doctor’s Orders).
Thrive Healthcare is approved by the Dept. of Community Health to provide the following skilled Nursing Services
· Wound Care and Dressing Changes, Tracheostomy Care, Medication Set-Up and Administration, Medical Management, Catheter Care, Tube Feeding Assistance, Diabetic Care/ Insulin Injections, Vital Sign Monitoring, and Colostomy and Urostomy Care
The following is required in order to qualify for LPN position with Thrive Healthcare, LLC:
- Be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of GA
- Positive previous work experience verified by providing a 5-year employment history/ or complete employment history if person has not been employed 5 years
- At least 2 years of experience as a nurse
- At least one-year experience in home health or in caring for the Elderly or the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled
- Pass a criminal background check
- Have no history of abuse or neglect
- Submit to random drug screening
- Provide negative TB Skin test result
- Provide current CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Personal Vehicle/ dependable transportation with proof of insurance
- No physical restrictions that will interfere with carrying out job duties listed above
(As an LPN, you will spend much of your time on your feet. Additionally, you must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.)
- Wear suitable uniform: Clean neat scrubs that fit appropriately, short fingernails, athletic shoes, not bedtime head wear, etc. (Additional requirements left to the discretion of management)
- Display advance interpersonal skills
- Have excellent organizational and planning skills
