$16-17/hr +$1/hr performance-based bonus

SCHEDULE
Pre-Season (April-May), Part-time, days/hours vary
Season (Memorial Day Weekend – Labor Day, afternoons after school starts)
Monday-Saturday, closed Sundays, Shift hours vary (Saturdays and holidays are required)
Post-Season (September), Extremely Part-Time as needed, shift days/hours vary (to close up department)
DUTIES
Your pre-season tasks would include assisting the Lifeguard Manager with the following:
• Recruit, hire, and train approximately 130+ seasonal Lifeguards.
• Assist with trainings for Lifeguard certification and re-certification (under the direction of a certified trainer).
Your typical day would include:
• Supervise operations and staff members to ensure customer safety, satisfaction, and compliance with company policies.
• Respond to first aid emergencies and evaluate park safety on a daily basis.
• Hold bi-weekly in-service training meetings for Lifeguards.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints according to company policy.
• Track and adjust employee times in time system.
• Work at least 1 lifeguard shift per week
• Conduct audits of staff members and re-train/discipline as needed.
• Swim two 400’s and set a good example for the lifeguards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Our ideal Lifeguard Supervisor is responsible, dependable, self-motivated, adaptable, and has the following education, skills, and experience:
• Must be at least 17 years of age
• 2+ years Waterpark and Lifeguard experience
• Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguard Certification
• Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer Certification
• No supervisory experience necessary
• PC proficient
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes demanding working conditions; Working in the heat and sun is required, and walking through the park several times a day is required.
