Line Cook

Lakewood Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery located in Garland, Texas.  We are looking for a talented and passionate weekend and weekday Line Cook to join our team. 

The Line Cook will work closely with our kitchen staff to ensure a fabulous guest experience by ensuring all food meets or exceeds our guests’ expectations. The ideal candidate will embody an attitude and passion for continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• 
  Ensure quality and consistency of all food preparation, while being mindful of speed and presentation


• 
  Plate quickly and accurately


• 
  Move swiftly from one dish to the next


• 
  Ensure the final plate matches what the guest ordered


• Creativity to come up with new menu ideas


• 
  Experience with sauce preparation 


• 
  Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  


• 
  Daily commitment to time management, organization, and interpersonal skills


• Customer service: deliver dishes to brewery customers and offer additional add-on items.

Special Skills and Certifications

• 
  1 year line cook experience


• 1-3 years customer service experience


• 
  Food Handler certified

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job: Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and move 165 lb. kegs of beer. Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend repeatedly throughout shift.
