Line Cook - Part Time

Roaring Fork Senior Living, Glenwood Springs' premier senior living community, is seeking a line cook to work in our on-site from scratch kitchens. You will be responsible for prepping and cooking made to order meals for residents and guests. We are looking for someone to be part of a dynamic culinary team and play a critical role in helping us take our culinary program to the next level. This is a part time position, working Wednesday 5:30am to 2pm, Thursday 5:30am to 2pm, and Friday 10am to 7pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare all food according to the menu under the direction of the Executive Chef
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to standardized recipes
• Communicates frequently and professionally with other line cooks, chef, managers, and front of house team members
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards
• Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated

Qualifications:

• Prior kitchen experience
• Requires knowledge of special diets
• Attention to detail
• Ability to take direction and adapt in a fast-moving environment
• Current ServSafe certification preferred
• Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed

Pay:
$19.50-21.00 an hour, based on experience
