Lipscomb Academy - High School Softball, Varsity Assistant Coach

Lipscomb Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Varsity Softball Assistant Coach to support its high school softball program. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about developing young athletes both on and off the field. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to plan practices, support game strategy, and foster a competitive, respectful team environment.

Duties of the Lipscomb Academy Varsity Girls Softball Assistant Coach:

  Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practices

  
  


• 
  

  Lead individual and small-group drills focusing on skill development (hitting, fielding, pitching, base running)

  
  


• 
  

  Help with game-day preparation, including warmups, equipment setup, and lineup coordination

  
  


• 
  

  Support in-game decision-making, manage dugout organization, and offer position-specific coaching

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor player behavior, energy, and focus throughout the game.

  
  


• Build positive relationships with student-athletes, promoting confidence, accountability, and teamwork.


• Encourage academic success and good sportsmanship on and off the field


• Help manage uniforms, gear, and equipment inventory


• Support the mission of Lipscomb Academy
