Janitorial and Maintenance Technician
The Janitorial and Maintenance Technician position helps keep our facility clean, safe, and running smoothly. PThe successful candidate will perform a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks related to the janitorial, maintenance, and repair needs of the Aquatic Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from High School or GED, including any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the work.
At least 2 years of building and/or maintenance experience.
Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to a work schedule.
Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
Pass a pre-employment drug test (including THC) and criminal background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects and needed repairs to the Parks and Facilities Manager.
Performs a variety of custodial and repair services, including, but not limited to: changing lights; pressure washing/scrubbing; cleaning gutters, sidewalks, and grounds around the Aquatic Center.
Performs building maintenance and repairs such as painting, carpentry, locker repair, and plumbing.
Maintains accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities for all equipment.
Coordinates with other City Departments and outside contractors for work to be performed at the facility, as applicable.
Complies with all City and State regulations for OSHA and other safety requirements.
Does related work and other tasks as assigned.

HOURS AND PAY

Part time - Up to 29 hours per week
$16.00 per hour
