Description
This position is responsible for performing major repairs and preventative maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are consistently achieved and maintained.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Clean and maintain the exercise room

  
  


• 
  

  Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance thoroughly, including weed removal

  
  


• 
  

  Perform guest room preventative maintenance in alignment with brand standards

  
  


• 
  

  Implement and follow the IHG Way of Clean protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety

  
  


• 
  

  Assemble, repair, and maintain hotel furniture and fixtures as needed

  
  


• 
  

  Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction

  
  


• 
  

  Keep the storage area clean daily and lock all storage areas before clocking out

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure that there are sufficient housekeeping supplies on each floor and adequate linens and supplies in stock

  
  


• 
  

  Verify that all exterior lights are functioning properly

  
  


• 
  

  Report and resolve any safety hazards throughout the hotel

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure that the stockroom maintains sufficient inventory to last at least two weeks

  
  


• 
  

  Perform other duties as assigned

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  High School Diploma/GED required

  
  


• 
  

  Hospitality experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent combination of education and maintenance experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
