A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE
- Downloading patron 3D print files, setting up the 3D print software, and starting the 3D printer.
- Helping a teacher determine the best method for putting their school logo on t shirts.
- Troubleshooting a jammed button maker with a child and their caregiver.
- Taking equipment reservations over the phone or via the online reservation system.
- Preparing to teach a sewing class by organizing materials and testing out different stitches.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist and instruct patrons in the use of makerspace equipment and software
- Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on makerspace equipment
- Design and lead creative and maker classes
QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of customer service experience
- Strong knowledge of computers, Office 365, and the internet
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with and an aptitude to learn creative software, including Adobe Illustrator, TinkerCAD, and Cricut Design Space
- Familiarity with and an aptitude to learn makerspace equipment, including sewing machines, sublimation, Cricut machines, and heat presses
HOURLY RATE & SCHEDULE
- $18.34 - $22.93 per hour
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Every third weekend:
- Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
