Manchester by the Sea: Part Time Nanny Needed, September Start

Our long-time and lovely family in Manchester by the Sea is seeking a part time nanny to join their team. Their needs have shifted now that both of their children will be attending school full time. This split-shift schedule is perfect for someone who lives close by, is looking for part time, and wants some day time hours off. Family needs support getting the children ready and transported to school in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon. Candidates must be dog-friendly, as family has 1 chill yellow lab.

Base Hours: Split Shift- Monday-Friday 7:00am-8:30am & Monday-Friday 2:30pm-6:00pm

*if candidate prefers, family will discard morning schedule and hire a nanny for afternoons only. Please note your preference in application form.

Charges: Boy, rising 1st grader & Girl, rising Kindergartener

Hourly Rate: $28/hour or $700/week guaranteed pay for split shift schedule

*$28/hour or $500/week guaranteed pay for afternoons only schedule

Benefits: Guaranteed weekly pay, 2 weeks paid vacation, major holidays paid/off, 3 sick/personal days

Start Date: Early September 2025

Job description:

• Creating a safe and stimulating environment for the children
• Facilitating engaging and age appropriate activities, games, and outings when children are home from school
• Maintaining children's schedules
• Preparing meals and snacks for children
• Indoor and outdoor play
• Transporting children to and from school and activities (family provides vehicle for caregiver's use)
• Walks and plenty of outdoor time
• Tidying up after work day and child related tidying/organization

Requirements:

• 3+ years professional childcare experience
• Looking for long-term commitment
• Self-starter with a pitch-in attitude
• Non-smokers only, please.
• Up-to-date CPR/First Aid Certification
• Cheery and Helpful Disposition
• Background Check (provided by agency)
• Driving Record (provided by agency)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Takes good direction on parenting style then requires minimal to no oversight
