We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mandarin Teacher to join our Upper West Side team. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with young children (ages 6 weeks to 6 years) and is excited to introduce them to the Mandarin language through fun, interactive, and age-appropriate lessons.

Pay: $25-$28 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Create and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons that foster listening, speaking, and cultural awareness.

Incorporate songs, stories, games, and creative activities to make learning Mandarin fun and meaningful.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate Mandarin lessons into the daily curriculum.

Build positive relationships with children and families to foster trust and excitement for language learning.

Monitor and document children’s progress, sharing feedback with families and center leadership.

Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive classroom environment.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as needed.

Qualifications

Fluent in Mandarin (both spoken and written).

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Early Childhood Education, Language Education, or related field preferred.

Experience teaching or working with children in a school, childcare, or enrichment setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
